Martyn Payne is an exceptional, experienced artist. Inspired by nature. Morning Break is original art, oil on canvas. It is 85cm x 65cm framed.

Martyn says, “I am fortunate enough to live in St.Ives, Cornwall – where much of my inspiration comes from for my art. Although the wave painting can take you to a moment in time anywhere in the world, this was captured from my local beach, Porthmeor, where I spend as much time as possible. I love to surf and constantly try to capture the energy of the water within a lot of my work”.

Working with acrylics and oils as his main mediums, Martyn’s aim is to create a mixture of reality and imagination in his artwork. He is drawn to the sea and is also a keen kayaker, spending as much time as possible either in, on or by the sea. For most of Martyn’s work, he uses reference photos or sketches he has made in and around Devon and Cornwall.
